System ARP Cache:

The system ARP cache is a place where a computer temporarily stores the IP addresses and MAC addresses of other devices on the same network.

When a computer needs to send data to another device, it uses the device’s IP address to find its MAC address. This information is stored in the ARP cache for a limited time. After that time, the information may expire and be removed from the cache.

Benefits of the ARP Cache:

When the computer needs to transfer data to the same device again, it can use the stored IP address and MAC address information instead of finding the MAC address again. This saves time and helps the computer communicate with other devices more efficiently.

The commands are listed below:

ip neigh
arp

Type these commands in the Linux terminal to view and manage the system ARP cache.
