What is a Virtual Machine (VM)?

It is created from a physical computer by using virtualization software so that it works like a real computer. It has its own operating system (OS), CPU, RAM, storage, and other resources, just like a real computer.

It works like a physical computer, but it does not exist as physical hardware. You cannot touch it because it is a software-based computer.

In cloud computing, a single physical server can run multiple virtual machines at the same time. Each virtual machine works like an independent computer. It can have its own operating system and applications, and the work of one virtual machine does not affect the others.

This enables better utilization of server resources, reduces hardware costs, and simplifies resource management.
